Direct messages, or DMs, are one of the main ways children stay connected with their friends – but they can also bring risks, such as cyberbullying, scams, and inappropriate content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To better help parents protect their kids from potential dangers in their DMs,<\/span> we\u2019ve expanded our <\/b>Social monitoring<\/b><\/a> feature to include Snapchat, TikTok, and X on Android devices<\/b>. Qustodio parents will now receive an alert whenever a concerning message is detected from these apps, as well as via text, WhatsApp messages, and Instagram* DMs. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Snapchat, TikTok, and X direct message monitoring is automatically enabled if your child has these apps on their Android device and you are a <\/span>Premium Complete<\/span><\/a> subscriber – no setup is needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alert notifications<\/b><\/p>\n

Whenever a risky message is detected, you\u2019ll receive an instant alert via push notification and email. The alert appears in your timeline and includes the sender\u2019s nickname, a preview of the message, and the type of concern, such as<\/span> bullying, violence, or body image.<\/b><\/p>\n

A detailed and clear view<\/b><\/p>\n

Tapping the alert opens a detailed view with concerning messages highlighted, up to three earlier messages for context, the group name (if applicable), device used, and time of detection.<\/span><\/p>\n

All the information is presented clearly and simply, helping you quickly grasp the situation and take any necessary action.<\/span><\/p>\n
